The Veteran Center is designed to connect Veterans with communities and communities with Veterans in support of local volunteer and service opportunities.

Identify Needs: Community Integration Coordinators® work with local organizations and community leaders to identify areas where volunteers are most needed. This could include solutions for food insecurity, homelessness, youth programs, and/or environmental projects.

Match Skills and Interests: The platform helps organizations find volunteers and fill roles that align with volunteer skills, interests, and experience. This can make volunteering more rewarding and impactful.

Organize Volunteer Events: Group volunteer projects provide opportunities for Veterans to serve alongside other citizens to build camaraderie and connectedness.

Volunteer Training: Training programs to prepare Veterans for specific volunteer roles, such as mentoring youth, assisting with disaster relief, or providing support to other Veterans can be organized through the platform.

Resource Hub: The Veteran Center can act as a central hub for information on local volunteer opportunities, connecting Veterans with organizations and initiatives that need their support.

Promoting a Culture of Service and Partnerships with Civic Organizations:

The Veteran Center supports the collaboration with other community organizations, businesses, and government agencies to expand reach and impact. This can lead to more comprehensive and effective community service initiatives. For emergencies, our teams are equipped with Pixel phones and virtual, reloadable VISA Debit Cards. The Veteran Center support infrastructure rides on the Google Cloud. We rely on Google Workspace. Google Drive facilitates image and file sharing with secure cloud storage.
